oil + graphite on wood panel
A collection of images, mostly 8″ x 8″ panels of fruits and vegetables. I was inspired by Michael Pollan’s seven words from In Defense of Food: “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” I wanted to create a collection that showcases the offerings of spring, summer, fall and winter. I love markets and have mad respect for those who grow the food we eat. There’s something incredibly pure and satisfying about growing things; watching a seed grow, blossom and bear fruit. The only soil real estate I have at the moment is a handful of pots in my garden room but some day I’ll have a big ol’ garden.
If you are interested in commissioning some “plants”, send me a note!
