Heuer Carrera 1158

This is the first commissioned piece in the JK x Blackbird collection. Jack Heuer considered the 18K gold Carrera automatic chronograph ref 1158 to be his favourite and he personally gifted it to the Ferrari Formula One drivers of the 1970s. This one is Arturo Merzario’s, worn during the time he raced with Ferrari and drove Formula 1 cars. Merzario is best known for his sports car endeavours, that giant Marlboro cowboy hat and notably saving Niki Lauda’s life after that fateful crash.
