Without a doubt, this A. Lange & Söhne Datograph piece is one of the most challenging I have ever created. Before starting, I was excited and properly intimated, walking by the blank sheet a dozen times before making the first mark. It took somewhere over 400 hours but less than 500 to complete. The movement is absolute exquisite, the depth of it comes to life rendered in graphite at this scale. The work will be displayed at the A.
